Performance Analysis of Concrete Pavement: A Case Study of Raila Odinga Way

Raila Odinga Way, initially called Mbagathi Way, is located in Nairobi City, the capital city
of Kenya which covers an area of 696 km2 at an elevation of 1,661m above sea level. With an
estimated population of 5,325,000 and a population density of 6247 persons/km2 Nairobi is the
most populated city in East Africa. Raila Odinga Way is a 6km dual carriageway that starts at
Langata Road (C58) roundabout, passing next to Nyayo Highrise estate, Kenyatta Market and
ends at Ngong Road (C60) roundabout at City mortuary next to Kenyatta National Hospital.

Rice Husk Ash Based Concrete Mix Design: Performance Assessment

The use of rice husk ash in the construction industry offers many advantages both economically
and environmentally. Economically, the use of rice husk ash will reduce construction costs since
it is easily available and minimal costs are incurred in its production. Environmentally, its use
will reduce the demand for cement therefore slowing down the manufacture cement which has
proved to be hazardous to the environment.

The Impact of Climate Change on Stormwater Management in Urban Areas A case study of a section of Uhuru Highway, Nairobi

The negative effects of climate change are becoming more and more of a threat to urban areas
globally. Changing precipitation patterns, an increase in the frequency of extreme weather
events, and rising temperatures are making it difficult to maintain current stormwater
management systems.
This project aims to address the critical need for a thorough understanding of the impact of
climate change on urban stormwater management and the development of adaptive strategies
to enhance resilience.
