The population of Kenya in the past few years has been on an upward trajectory and this has exerted pressure on the existing amenities. The growing population necessitates the construction of more residential units. This project was aimed at increasing the housing supply in Kericho, thereby reducing housing shortages.

The rapid growth of Nairobi City County due to the migration of people from the rural part of the Country increased the population which results increase in slums. Also, Nairobi as the capital city and its urbanization attracts large number of citizens and foreigners from the neighboring countries and in return increasing its populations which results to high demand for residential housing.

The growth of Kenya's economy had led to increased urbanization and thus creating a huge demand for residential buildings. Therefore, as a result of high population of people moving from rural areas to the city in pursuit of employment, to join universities, some for the conducive climate and others seeking health facilities from renown hospitals like Nairobi Hospital, Aga Khan University Hospital and Kenyatta hospital specially in Nairobi.
