As part of their Fourth Term field visits, third-year students from the Department of Civil & Construction Engineering, University of Nairobi visited the Sondu Miriu Hydropower Plant, gaining valuable insight into real-world hydropower generation and infrastructure systems.
From 10 July 2025, the Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Fund (GSNF) will offer a limited number of partial scholarships tenable at the University of Nairobi for master’s programmes during the 2025/2026 academic year. On 9 July 2025, in a significant step towards enhancing engineering education in Kenya, the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) held a consultative meeting with staff from the Department of Civil & Construction Engineering, University of Nairobi, aimed at aligning the department’s Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering programme with the international standards set by the Washington Accord.
