The Department of Civil & Construction Engineering at the University of Nairobi is pleased to announce an upcoming guest talk by Eng. Arjan Shanklar of Sommers Engineering. The talk is scheduled to take place on 26th March 2025 at the 1st Floor, Architecture Studio, ADD Building, State House Road.
The Department in a partnership with the ministry of Transport and Infrastructure under the State Department for Roads (SDoR) through sponsorship by the world bank has completed inspection of all equipment meant for the upgrade of all its laboratories.
In recent years, Eastleigh has experienced severe traffic congestion, leading to increased pollution and significant economic losses. The congestion is exacerbated not only by vehicles but also by the large numbe of pedestrians. This situation has created a ripple effect, making the transportation of goods in and out of the region extremely challenging. Additionally, it has become a major obstacle for residents of Eastleigh and its surrounding areas, as well as for those who commute to Eastleigh for their daily livelihood.
