Water Quality Assessment of River Kalundu and Dam in Kitui County

Water quality is a major concern in Kitui County, Kenya, where access to safe and clean drinking water is limited and available water sources are often contaminated. Despite initiatives to improve sanitation and water infrastructure, many communities in Kitui County still face problems related to waterborne diseases and contaminated water sources. Inadequate monitoring and assessment protocols and a lack of comprehensive data on water quality parameters often fail effective decision-making and resource allocation for water management initiatives.

Design of a Multi-Storey Car Park

A multi-storey car park is a specialized structure that is designed to efficiently accommodate and organize a projected number of vehicles within a confined urban or commercial space. The parking space is provided on the floor levels where each parking space is clearly marked. The structure can either be a reinforced concrete structure or a steel structure. In this project the construction material chosen is steel. This type of car park utilizes steel as the primary construction material for its structural framework.

Performance Analysis of Concrete Pavement: A Case Study of Raila Odinga Way

Raila Odinga Way, initially called Mbagathi Way, is located in Nairobi City, the capital city
of Kenya which covers an area of 696 km2 at an elevation of 1,661m above sea level. With an
estimated population of 5,325,000 and a population density of 6247 persons/km2 Nairobi is the
most populated city in East Africa. Raila Odinga Way is a 6km dual carriageway that starts at
Langata Road (C58) roundabout, passing next to Nyayo Highrise estate, Kenyatta Market and
ends at Ngong Road (C60) roundabout at City mortuary next to Kenyatta National Hospital.
