The Department of Architecture, in collaboration with the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering, is pleased to invite all students and staff to an afternoon talk by the newly elected Governing Council of the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK). This exciting and insightful event will take place on Wednesday, 2 April 2025, starting from 2:00 p.m.
This talk presents a unique opportunity to engage with the newly appointed leaders of the AAK and learn from their vast experience in the architectural and engineering fields. Of particular pride to the Department of Civil Engineering is the presence of Eng. Nashon Tambo, an alumnus of our department who graduated in September 2016. Eng. Tambo, who serves as the Vice-President of the Engineers' Chapter of AAK, has recently been appointed as the Registrar of the association. His remarkable achievements since graduating from the University of Nairobi continue to inspire and uplift the legacy of our department.
The session will cover diverse topics including the vision of the new Governing Council, their plans for professional development and collaboration within the industry, and the evolving relationship between engineering and architecture in Kenya. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions and interact directly with the council members.
Don’t miss this invaluable opportunity to broaden your perspectives and connect with industry leaders. Mark your calendars and join us for an afternoon of learning and networking.
