48 Starehe Girls' Centre Physics students in form 3 and form 4 visited the Hydraulics Lab during their visit at the Department of Civil and construction Engineering, University of Nairobi with an aim of understanding more about engineering to help them make appropriate career choices. These students were accompanied  by their 2 teachers

Prof. F.J.Gichaga participated as a panel expert during the 50th celebrations of regulation engineering in Kenya. During the celebrations, he gave a speech on His experiences and qualifications as a Civil Engineer. He also made a presentation on his thematic area.

Paul did a pHD presentation held at civil block project room. The title of the presentation was an assessment of vibration of structures induced by metre gauge freight rail transport in Nairobi metropolis. Present during the seminar were Chairman Civil Engineering,his supervisors and other staff members
