The Department of Civil & Construction Engineering, University of Nairobi, is inviting applications from qualified candidates to serve as Part-Time Lecturers in the following specialisations:

  • Water Engineering – 3 Posts

  • Structural Engineering – 3 Posts

  • Geotechnical Engineering – 3 Posts

  • Highway Engineering – 3 Posts

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must:

  • Be holders of, or currently registered for, a PhD in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a university recognised by the University of Nairobi Senate.

  • Alternatively, hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field with:

    • At least one (1) year of university-level teaching experience, and

    • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience.

  • Be registered or registrable as Professional Engineers (PE) with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).

  • Be members of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).

Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Teach and supervise at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

  • Conduct research in their area of specialisation.

  • Participate actively in departmental academic and administrative activities.
