The use of rice husk ash in the construction industry offers many advantages both economically
and environmentally. Economically, the use of rice husk ash will reduce construction costs since
it is easily available and minimal costs are incurred in its production. Environmentally, its use
will reduce the demand for cement therefore slowing down the manufacture cement which has
proved to be hazardous to the environment.

The partial replacement of cement with concrete offers a solution that is not only economically
viable but also sustainable. Furthermore, no study has been done using RHA obtained from
Kenya to determine its feasibility.
