The Department of Civil & Construction Engineering would like to inform all staff and students that we are currently experiencing challenges using the Turnitin Similarity Index checker. This similarity index checker is a tool we use to ensure academic integrity by checking for plagiarism in written assignments.

We are aware of the importance of Turnitin to maintain the quality of academic work and the credibility of our institution. Therefore, we are working hard to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

We want to assure all our students and staff that we are doing everything we can to fix this problem. We have already reached out to the Library department, who have assured us that they are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. They are committed to ensuring that our academic community can continue to use this tool with ease.

In the meantime, we request all students and staff to exercise caution and ensure that they submit their assignments with ample time to avoid any issues that may arise from the Turnitin Similarity Index checker's malfunction.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue. We will provide regular updates on the progress made in fixing this problem.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Best regards,

Eng. Muthomi Munyua
