There is an increase in congestion along Thika Superhighway especially during peak hours thus
this research will help in managing traffic congestion by understanding and looking at the viability
of employing the use of reversible lanes along Thika superhighway. This will help the motorists
and other road users reduce their travel time thus reduce road user costs and increase the efficiency
of Thika superhighway while minimizing the cost that would have been used for another road
expansion.
