Mr. Muthomi led the training session of the first day of the KEBS Eurocode 2 training held in A&L Hotel in Machakos County. The training was a five-day event facilitated by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and involved stakeholders from the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen), Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) among others. KEBS has the objective of ensuring Kenya fully adopts the Eurocodes as soon as all the National Annexes have been developed. Dr. Victoria Okumu of the Multimedia University would lead the training session in the remaining days. KEBS has partnered with the University of Nairobi and other local universities in order to build local capacity for training local engineers on the Eurocodes.
