Eng. Simpson Osano, the esteemed Chairman of the Department of Civil & Construction Engineering at the University of Nairobi, is currently participating in a transformative 4-day Climate Adaptation Changemakers School 2024 hosted by the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environment.

Masterclass Presentation: Mombasa Port Case Study Discussion

During his participation in the Changemakers School, Dr. Osano had the privilege of contributing to a Masterclass presentation focused on a Case Study Discussion centred around the Mombasa Port. The session aimed to identify climate change adaptation solutions, providing an illustrative example of how infrastructure systems are being disrupted by climate change and the urgent need for proactive adaptation measures.

The Changemakers School was honoured to welcome Eng. Joseph Mbugua, the Principal Secretary of the State Department for Roads, who graced the event with his presence. Eng.
