The Department in a partnership with the ministry of Transport and Infrastructure under the State Department for Roads (SDoR) through sponsorship by the world bank has completed inspection of all equipment meant for the upgrade of all its laboratories.

The World bank has an existing MoU with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure under the State Department for Roads (SDoR) for supporting Government Institutions and Universities to build capacity to conduct their core functions.

The Ministry and the world bank commissioned the project upon reception of all the equipment on the 6th March, 2025 at the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering, University of Nairobi
