The Africa Research and Education Network for Technology (AFRETEC), in collaboration with the University of Nairobi and the C4DLab Innovation Lab, has officially launched a Call for Startups targeting innovators and entrepreneurs from all faculties within the University of Nairobi.

The initiative seeks to support early-stage startups developing innovative solutions to real-world challenges through digital technology and applied innovation.

Innovation Areas
The programme is inviting ideas and startups working in a wide range of sectors, including:
- Agriculture and Food Science
Using technology to improve agricultural productivity and food systems. - BioTech and Chemistry
Development of localised chemical and biological solutions. - Advanced Manufacturing
Enhancing production capabilities through technological integration. - Energy
Research and innovation in sustainable, renewable, and efficient energy systems. - HealthTech
Technology-driven healthcare solutions including AI-enabled diagnostics and IoT applications. - Urban Development
