Concrete mixer at the concrete lab is being repaired by members of staff from the Department of Mechanical Engineering with an aim of helping students to continue with their research and also consultancy services.
End of Semester 1 exams are scheduled to start on Monday 23rd of January 2023 and end up on Friday 3rd of February 2023.
This paper will enable the reader to appreciate the necessity of developing and adopting a performance based approach to reinforced concrete design. Such an approach would enable engineers to reliably and accurately control the durability of reinforced concrete structures. Building quality would improve and the maintenance and repair costs would be reduced. The eventual result would be greater client satisfaction.
